Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) closed its acquisition of Motiva Infraestrutura de Mobilidade S.A.'s entire equity interest in Companhia de Participações em Concessões for a purchase price of R$5.1 billion, equivalent to US$992.2 million after customary closing adjustments. The transaction was financed through a loan facility arranged when ASUR submitted its offer and represents a key component of the company's growth strategy. As a result, ASUR has added 20 airports across four markets in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Brazil, to its portfolio. Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste reported total passenger traffic for July 2026 reached 6.4 million passengers, a 1.9% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Traffic increased by 5.8% in Colombia but declined by 4.0% in Mexico and 5.1% in Puerto Rico.
