Lear Corporation's Board of Directors approved an increase to the share repurchase authorization to $1.5 billion and extended the program's term to December 31, 2029. At the end of the second quarter of 2026, approximately $600 million remained from the prior authorization expiring on that date. The new total authorization represents roughly 26% of the company's market capitalization at current prices. Since initiating the program in 2011, Lear has repurchased 63.6 million shares for a total of $6.1 billion, reducing outstanding shares by approximately 60%. Lear Corporation reported second quarter 2026 financial results and raised its full-year 2026 guidance midpoints. Revenue increased 3% year-over-year to $6.2 billion, while net income rose 17% to $193 million and adjusted net income grew 16% to $217 million. Earnings per share reached $3.79, up 24% from the prior year period. The company repurchased $100 million in shares during the quarter and paid $39 million in dividends. Full-year 2026 net sales are now projected between $23.54 billion and $24.01 billion, with core operating earnings expected between $1.08 billion and $1.20 billion.
