RTX Corporation announced that Shane Eddy will step down as president of Pratt & Whitney and retire from the company effective January 1, 2027. Jill Albertelli, currently president of Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines business, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Eddy in the same role, also effective January 1, 2027. Mr. Eddy will remain with the company through March 2027 as a special advisor to support the transition. This leadership change affects one of RTX's key operating segments. The company operates in the aerospace and defense industry, providing aviation systems, integrated defense technologies, and next-generation manufacturing solutions.

RTX Corporation reported second quarter 2026 results with sales of $24.7 billion, a 14 percent increase year-over-year. Adjusted EPS rose 21 percent to $1.89, while GAAP EPS was $1.57. Free cash flow reached $2.9 billion, compared to a deficit of $72 million in the prior year period. The company reached an agreement to sell Raytheon’s Blue Canyon Technologies business for $620 million. Based on strong performance, RTX raised its full-year 2026 outlook for adjusted sales, adjusted EPS, and free cash flow. RTX is an aerospace and defense company providing aviation, integrated defense systems, and technology solutions.
